The 5 Hs of Well-Being

Well-Being is more than feeling good....it encompasses much more than that!  Body+Mind+Spirit accordance is key, but I devised my own system....  5 H's of Well-Being:

1.  Hope:  Faith, motivation, persistence, and the belief that things can and will change for the better are what cause the rays of light to shine through a dark and dreary forest, illuminating the beauty that often goes unseen.  If you have hope, then all things are possible.


2.  Healing:  We all have wounds, but ignoring them does not make them go away!  We must make it a priority to be gentle to ourselves and allow our body, mind, and spirit to feel, grieve (and cry, shout, beat our pillow), rest, forgive, and rejuvenate.  Our bodies possess the ennate power to heal itself, but we must give it the proper environment in which to do so (nourishment, sleep, hydration, sun, warmth, exercise, play, meditation, cleanliness...).  We are our own best doctor...heal thyself!


 3.  Health:  Without health, you have nothing.  Health encompasses so many aspects of life, not just how you feel physically, but also spiritually, and emotionally!


4.  Happiness:  Life is NOT meant to be tough, serious, and painful!  Life is meant to be enjoyed! Does it even make sense that we were put on this gorgeous Earth to suffer?  NO!  Don't believe those whom tell ya that life is all work before play!  Get rid of those negative scripts in your head and embrace laughter, joy, goofiness, and glee!


5.  Harmony:  We must live in harmony with ourselves (first and foremost!), each other, society, nature, our environment, beliefs/convictions, etc.  Discord causes unease and unease can cause dis-ease!  Be in harmony and your body will work in harmony!


Of course, incorporating these elements is much easier said than done, but this blog will continuously explore how to best go about it, for I, like you, are a continual work in progress!  So, come join me on this journey towards embracing every aspect of the 5-H's of Well-Being!
